Tip #11 - Bring Kids Travel Games
and Activities
Uh oh, don't
forget to bring a kids travel game! Everything is finally loaded into the car for your
road trip or you’re securely strapped in for your flight to
Mexico.
Not 10 minutes into your peaceful journey you
hear,
“Mommy, Daddy I’m
booorrrrrrred.”
Not to fret, you only have a 4 to
6 hour flight, or, (eesh) a
week long drive and all you need to do is play “I spy”
until you arrive at your destination.
I’ve tried this with my daughter on
a 4 hour drive, and while she very much enjoyed it, I nearly went
out of my
tree after the first hour.
My advice: simple, be
prepared.
While you and I will probably enjoy
the travel scenery during the drive or relaxing throughout a
peaceful flight, kids just aren’t made up that way to sit there
for hours on end with nothing to keep them occupied.
You may get lucky while the little
one grabs a nap, but don’t count on it for long journeys.
