Mexico Car Insurance

Traveling by road?  Be sure you have the proper Mexico car insurance.

You will need Mexico auto or RV insurance while traveling in Mexico as your Canadian or U.S. policy will NOT cover you.

Mexican law is founded on the Napoleonic code system which, unlike our American or Canadian laws, states that an individual is assumed guilty until proven innocent.

Although Mexican automobile insurance or RV insurance is not mandatory in Mexico, if you do get into an accident and do not have the appropriate Mexico policy, you may have to come up with a lot of cash to get yourself out of the situation.

You will probably not be asked for insurance papers at the border, but our advice is to be sure to get it BEFORE you cross the border into Mexico.

Use a reputable broker, such as Mexpro, to ensure you are getting the appropriate coverage you need.
