Travel Budget Tip: Plan a Travel Budget Before You Go

Typically we usually go all inclusive.

So our rule of thumb is to bring money (U.S. dollars, travelers checks, etc.) equal to 1/4 of the cost of the all inclusive tickets.

We have found this to work out pretty good for tipping, souvenir shopping, meals outside of the resort or extra activities that are over and above what's provided by the resort.
